Norma Jean (Turner) Ajster, 86, of Peru, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at her home.
Mrs. Ajster was born on August 2, 1930 in Peru to Alfred and Helen (Gress) Turner. She married Rudolph “Rudy” Ajster on July 2, 1949 in St. Roch’s Church, LaSalle. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Peru. She worked as a sales clerk at JC Penny in Peru. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and loved to shop with her daughters. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Garner of Peru, Patti (Butch) Plochocki of LaSalle and Lori (Rick) Plochocki of Peru; 9 grandchildren, Brett (Matt Connor) Garner, Chad (Clayre) Garner, Matt (Mary) Plochocki, Mike (Kate Forbes) Plochocki, Jennifer (Jim) Weber, Alyssa (Alex) Guerrero, Lindsay (Jared) Gonzales, Jordan Gonzales and Jacob Gonzales; 5 great-grandchildren, Sofia Gonzales, Brady Weber, Logan Weber, Mackenzy Gonzales and Meadow Garner; one brother, Terry (Mary) Turner of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Rudolph “Rudy” Ajster on March 16, 2014; three brothers, Harry, Richard and Butch Turner; and one sister, Doris Mellen.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren and spouses.
