1977- Escondido
A landmark 50-foot-tall teepee on a hill outside Escondido, CA blew down in a windstorm. The teeppe was constructed in 1929 by A.L. Houghtelin near the intersection of San Pasqual Valley Road and Summit Drive Escondido.
