Norma J. Barker, 76, passed away peacefully, Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2014, in her residence. She was born in Milo, the daughter of the late Harley Bole and Josephine (Rhinehart) Bole. She graduated from Roll High School with the class of 1955.
She married the love of her life, Jim Barker, on October 23, 1955, in Jonesboro. Mrs. Barker was formerly employed in the kitchen at Ivanhoe’s Drive-In, Upland, and formerly attended First Community Church, Matthews. She enjoyed listening to country music, eating at Cracker Barrel, and she was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Jim Barker, Upland; a son Garry (Lynda) Barker, Upland; her mother, Josephine Bole, Warren; a brother, Don (Sharon) Bole, Hartford City; two grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla; and a great grandson, Mason. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Barker and a grandson, Joshua Barker.
