Norma Estelle Harvey Wiser, 92 of Southport, CT. died peacefully on June 1, 2016 surrounded by her family. Norma was born in Toronto, Canada on March 12, 1924. Norma enlisted in the Canadian Women’s Army Corp during WWII and was stationed at Army Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. She obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. It was there in 1944 where she met and married James Sargent Wiser, a Flying Officer in the RCAF; her husband of 68 years. They were residents of Southport since 1956, where Norma served as a volunteer at the Fairfield Women’s Exchange, worked and volunteered at the Pequot Library.
