Norma Ann Nye, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at The Gables, in Logan, Utah after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Norma was born on September 14, 1932 to Carl and Ella Zenola Hunter Peterson in Kimberly, Idaho. She attended schools in Kimberly, a one room school house in Sugar Loaf, then Jerome Elementary and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1950. She learned the value of hard work while picking potatoes or thinning beets on the family farm. She attended one year at Brigham Young University and learned the value of education.
She worked for a music supply company while in high school. This company supplied juke boxes to many of the local business in the area. She worked at Twin Falls Bank and Trust and advanced to the position of teller.
