HAVERHILL – Norene M. (Breen) Wrenn, 93, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, at the Holy Family Hospital at Merrimack Valley.
Norene was born in Lawrence, on August 2, 1922, the second youngest child of Irish immigrants, Eugene and Catherine (Fitzgerald) Breen. She attended St. Lawrence Grammar School and graduated Lawrence High School in 1939. She enjoyed a happy and loving childhood growing up in Lawrence. She loved to share stories about her Lawrence days that included her working in the Arlington and Marland Mills and dancing at the Crystal Ballroom. She also loved listening and dancing to the “big bands” at Canobie Lake and the Hampton Beach Casino.
Norene was the cherished wife of the late William L. Wrenn who passed in 1977. They were married in 1949 and moved to Haverhill in 1955 to raise their family.
