Noreen J. Schott, 81, passed away June 24, 2015 at Peace Hospice of leukemia.

Noreen was born on April 8, 1934 in Fort Benton, MT to Charles and Bernice Deck. After graduating high school in Fort Benton, she moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she met and married the love of her life Leroy Schott in 1952. They were blessed with two sons and had 59 wonderful years together.

Noreen was a very talented lady, she had a knack for many things. She could sew, knit, crochet, and did many wood working projects, as well as arts and crafts. She loved to cook, and baking was her specialty. While living in the Highwood Mountains she bought a kiln and formed a ceramic club where she taught many neighbors this art. She also made and painted many ceramic dolls which were flawless. Another accomplishment was to form a Home Demonstration club of which many friends and neighbors became members. She completed and published a book called “Footsteps on the Prairie” that her mother had started, but could not finish before her demise. Noreen’s greatest talent was just being mom. At that she excelled.

Noreen was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Leroy Schott. She is survived by hers sons Terry L. (Margit Wamsley) Schott of Sand Coulee and Dan K Schott of Great Falls; one granddaughter Kali Ann Schott of Jackson, Wyoming; brothers Robert (Juanita) Deck of Fort Benton, and John Deck of Chula Vista, CA; three very special friends Janice Posey of Great Falls, Raelene Wilson of Federal Way, WA, and her beloved Pomeranian Peanut.
