Nora F. Haygood Howell, 80, Pendleton, died April 1, 2011, at her residence. She was born August 6, 1930, in Lapel, Indiana, and was a lifetime resident of Madison County. Nora was a homemaker and attended Huntsville Good Sheperd Church. She loved her family and visiting with friends at Mcdonald’s.
Survivors include her children, Gail Baker, Allan Debra Howell, and Colleen Howell, all of Pendleton; sister, Marjorie Windfred Leach of Pendleton; grandchildren, Jeffrey Howell, Phillip Baker, Amy Baker, James Howell, and Melody Baker; great-grandchildren, Faith Howell, Charity Howell, Kelsea Baker, Morgan Baker, Austin Baker, Allison Gibson, and Isabella Navalo and several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ace Howell, in 1996; parents, William E. & Mabel Claire Summers Haygood; brothers, Harold, Jack, and Wilbur Haygood; and a sister, Roberta Coplin.
