Nora Dixon McGee Coleman of Greensboro, GA, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 75 at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, GA. Noni, as she was fondly known, was born in Louisville, KY on December 7, 1942 to Phillip McGee and Nell Wilder Craik McGee. She graduated from Centre College in Danville, KY with a bachelor’s degree in education. She married Edward Coleman on August 26, 1964 enjoying 54 years together. For a while she taught in the Alameda California school district in the Head Start program, but left to become a full time homemaker raising their three children.
In addition to her husband, Edward Coleman of Greensboro, GA, she is survived by her children, Chip Coleman of Austell, GA, Kathleen (Jason) Wohlers of Chattanooga, TN and Lisa (Daryl) Stone of Lake City, GA; sister, Mary Campbell of New Canaan, CT; seven grandchildren: Joshua, Sarah, Madeline, Hannah, Charlotte, Clare and Coleman; other relatives and many friends.
