LEONOR “NONI” MARTINEZ BACA, 87, Lordsburg resident passed away Monday July 13, 2015 at Mountain View Regional Hospital in Las Cruces.
Noni was born in Lordsburg, NM to Eduardo Martinez and Bonifacia Soto on January 1, 1928. She enjoyed playing bingo, Super Mario Brothers. Noni was a supportive wife, and a loving and attentive mother. Noni was a devoted Catholic and a supporting member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Noni was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo Martinez and Bonifacia Soto; her son, Jay G. and 4 brothers, Rafael Martinez, Pedro (Pete) Verdugo, Eduardo (Lalo) Martinez and Enrique (Henry) Verdugo. She is survived by her husband, Cipriano (Cipi) Baca of Lordsburg; son, Gabriel (Gaby) Baca, daughter-in-law, Dawn Baca and grandson, Dakota Roxas of Dover, Delaware; sister, Josephine (Fina) Aguilar of Las Vegas, NV; brother, David Contreras of Lordsburg and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving friends and family.
