Nora Ann Jackson Gilbert 76 of Clinton entered into eternal peace on Sept 15, 2012.
She was born on Aug 5, 1936 to Herman and Martha McCauley Jackson of Blanford.
She went to school at Jacksonville Grade School and Clinton High School. She
retired in 2006 as a longtime bartender from the American Legion Post 140 and Half
Century Club in Clinton. She was a dedicated member of the Ladies Auxillary of the
American Legion Post 140, Eagles Lodge 887, Half Century Club of Clinton, and a
Sargent of Arms for several years at the American Legion Ladies Auxillary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers; Joe Jackson, Jim Jackson, Carl
Jackson, Bill Jackson and Bob Jackson. One sister Mary Alice Jackson and one son
Melvin Gilbert.
She is survived by two sons; Chuck & Michelle Gilbert of Texas and Jim Gilbert of
Clinton, four daughters; Sue & Enoch Jones of Clinton, Dorothy & Greg Gibbons of
sister Blanche Gilbert of Blanford and a sister in law Helen Jackson of St. Bernice.
14 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several neices and nephews.
