Nona V. Dukes, 92 of Centralia, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Nona was born March 22, 1927 in Centralia, the daughter of Roy Gott and Marie (Casey) Gott. She married Charles “Chuck” Dukes and he preceded her in death in 1985.
Nona is survived by her son Ken Dukes and wife Janie of Sikeston, MO; her daughter Linda Hempen and husband Todd of Centralia; five grandchildren: Blake Dukes and wife Jamie of Central City, Heather Dukes of San Antonio, TX, Ryan Dukes and wife Lauren of Franklin, TN, Trever Hempen and fiancé Evalynne Synder of Centralia, and Hannah Hempen of Centralia; three great-grandchildren: Brylee Dukes, Addie Dukes, and Evelyn Dukes; and a set of twin great-grandchildren on the way: Rhett and Ryker Hempen.
Nona was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Marie Gott and her husband, Charles “Chuck” Dukes.
Nona worked at Regions Bank for 36 years. She was of the Methodist Faith all of her life and she was a member the Cornerstone Methodist Church in Centralia. Nona was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and the Business and Professional Women’s Club. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club and going out with her lunch club. Nona cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.
