The Life of Noel Joseph Becar V
Noel J. Becar is a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a brother to his sister Marlene who lives in Mill Valley California. They were close in life, including the fact that their birthday is one day apart even though she was nine years younger. Noel was born in San Francisco on November 24, 1924. One of his earliest memories was falling out of his baby carriage at Golden Gate Park when he was two years old.
Noel married June Elaine Perschon on June 30, 1954. They started their family of four children: Noel Joseph VI, David Arthur, Elizabeth Margaret, and Allyn Paul. They have 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
During his high school years he lived in a dormitory because of the distance to travel to school. Noel did tell stories of sneaking out at night and climbing back in through an open window. He attended college at the University of Nevada at Reno. During this time the war broke out and wanting to serve his country, he enlisted in the US Marine Corp. He was chosen to be a radar technician and was sent to a special school in Logan, Utah.
Soon after that he was loaded on board a ship to the South Pacific and he landed in Guam. After the war he decided to go to school at Utah State University because he was so impressed with the area when he was there for military training. While at school he married his first wife and he had three children: Michael, Suzanne, and Kathleen.
Noel served as a seventy, did family history for thousands of his ancestors, and was a temple worker at the Jordan River temple. He loved teaching Sunday School and teaching about the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
