Nita Giovanniello Amditis, 92, of Interlachen, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Advent Health in Ocala following a brief illness. A native of Potsdam, New York, she resided in Interlachen since 1980 moving there from Glendale, Pennsylvania. Nita worked for 11 years in the cosmetic department at Wal-Greens in Palatka and later in-home health care for seniors in the community. She had been a member of the Lions Club of Interlachen, the Tourist Club of Interlachen, and the First Congregational Church in Interlachen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas A. Henderson and Charlotte M. Henderson, her first husband, Joseph Giovanniello, and her 2nd husband, Dike Amditis.
Nita is survived by her children, Gary Amditis of Plains, PA and Linda Amditis of Interlachen, her step-children, Louis Giovanniello of Kingsland, GA, Phyllis DeSanto of Staten Island, NY, Patricia Jacobs of NJ, Michele Scott of Punta Gorda, and Margaret Atkinson of Tampa, 2 sisters, Dorothy Kessler of Interlachen and Shirley DeVogel of NJ and numerous grand and great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
