Seastrand – Nils (Arnold) Seastrand, age 81, of Fairfield, died peacefully on Monday September 13, 2021 in his home. Mr. Seastrand was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong resident of Fairfield. He was a retired Scientist and founder of Seastrand Scientific in Milford, as well as Creator & Owner of Fins &Gills Aquarium in Fairfield and Shipwreck Aquarium in Ridgefield. Mr. Seastrand worked and developed the lab work for the Nose Cone Missile as well as many prototype works for Avco. His work on the Nose Cone project is recorded in the Library of Congress under his name. He had a lifelong love of Marine Science. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde HS and studied at the University of Bridgeport, he was a longtime member of the SS Norden Club in Bridgeport. His love for Jaguar sports cars never faded the love for his very special Vermont will stay alive in him forever. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Bonnie Modes Seastrand and several cousins in Sweden.
