He attended Jerome High School. Nile was married to and divorced from Edna Buttcane Darling. Nile enlisted in the US Marine Corps in Nov. of 1942. Shortly after completing training as a tank mechanic and a tank crewman, he was sent overseas in support of WWII. During his tours he participated in many battles including Roi-Namur, Siapan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. He was honorably discharged in Nov. of 1945. In 1952 Nile joined the Idaho National Guard as a Supply Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant. After working for quite a few different companies, Nile retired with the rank of W-4 Warrant Officer in Jan. of 1983.
