Nilda “Guera” Sanchez, 61, went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 27, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by love of family.
She was born in Mercedes, TX to Trinidad Sanchez and Maria Gonzales Cumpian. She was a lifetime resident of Santa Rosa and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. After graduation she was employed with Levi’s Clothing Company and was a machine operator for 27 years.
Nilda was a very caring and talented woman, she enjoyed arts and crafts and could create simple to extraordinary. She had an eye for decor and she also enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She loved the beach, loved traveling, and enjoyed going bowling. She was a people person and was very social & outgoing. She was a caregiver to all of her family and went out of her way to do as much as she possibly could for everyone.
Nilda is survived by her loving family to cherish her wonderful memory, children, Jake Emery Garcia & Krystal Marie Garza; grandson, Ethan Garcia; mother, Maria Cumpian; father, Frank Cumpian; siblings, Yolanda Ruiz, Estella Cavazos, Gloria Gomez, Johnny Gomez (Alicia) Norma Champion, & Frank Cumpian Jr. (Maggie), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, & friends.
