Nila Faye McGhie died March 1, 2017 in Burley Idaho. Nila was born June 6, 1928 in Fort Worth Texas. As a premie of only 24 weeks and only 2 pounds she defied all odds and was a picture of strength all of her life. She grew up with her parents Lola Brase and John Shelton and her sister Johnnie Sue Griffiths and was surrounded by many beloved aunts. She married the love of her life Glen McGhie and raised 3 children, Jackie, John and Todd. She also enjoyed her step children, Sonny, and Karen. In 1974, Nila and Glen moved to Malta Idaho where they enjoyed the community and lasting friendships. Nila loved Malta and lived the rest of her life there.
Nila is preceded in death by her husband, Glen McGhie, her mother, father and her sister.
She is survived by her 3 Children, Jackie Wasikoski of Apple Valley Ca., Todd (Carol) McGhie of Rupert Idaho, and John Devlin of Malta Idaho. Her step children, Glen (Coleen) McGhie Jr, Karen Elben; grandchildren Melanie Wasikoski, Wes (Jenni) Wasikoski, Jeremy Devlin, Christopher Devlin, Josh Devlin, Layla (Victor) Gomez, Jakob (Nicole) McGhie and Samantha (Taylor) McGhie, and 7 great grandchildren.
