Invitation to Rest

 

On Tuesday, May 28, 2019, God called home his humble servant and precious angel, Nikita Evette Garner.  She was born on November 17, 1971, in Indianapolis, IN and was the beautiful daughter of Willie White, Sr. and Betty Garner.

 

Nikita graduated from Emmerich Manual High School in 1990. Later, she furthered her education by earning her Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Business Administration from Marian University in 2006.

 

Nikita was truly dedicated to her profession. She was a long-time employee of Jerome Puryear Sr. Agency. She was also employed at Indianapolis Public Schools and Project SEED. At the time of her death, she was employed at Child Advocates as an Events Manager.

 

Nikita loved her family and friends. She was full of life and enjoyed having fun with them. She was a devoted foster parent to her niece.

 

Nikita LOVED the Lord. She faithfully worshipped at Purpose of Life Ministries for over 25 years. While under the nurturing leadership of Pastor David W. Greene Sr., she grew spiritually in her personal relationship with the Lord.

 

Nikita was preceded in death by three grandparents, Booker T. Garner Sr., Margaret Garner and Roosevelt McGee, two uncles, Booker T. Garner, Jr. and Larry Garner, one nephew, Takoki Brown and a special niece, Jodeci White.

 

Nikita leaves to cherish her loving memory, her father: Willie White, Sr., mother: Betty Jo Garner; significant other: Dion Payne; sister: Doria White; brother: Willie (Michelle) White, Jr.
