Nikhilchandra Vitthaldas Shah, aged 82, passed away peacefully in the city of Boston on October 10, 2016 at 9:33PM. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born in the small village of Jhagadia, Gujurat. He did his schooling in Jhagadia and worked as a farmer in Salod.

He grew up in a big family of four sisters and three brothers. He embodied strong work ethic and continued to work even harder to provide for his family when he moved abroad in 1984 to USA with his wife, Yashu, and three children–Darshan, Jolly, and Ami.

A friendly soul he formed a group of friends whom he was able to share fun times with. Even after retirement, he continued to be active in the Indian community helping settle new families into this country. He did not take his American citizenship for granted, and was always politically active by dedicating his time and energy to local voting polls.

His soul was pure and generous. He found joy in the successes of his kids and grandkids. Despite battling many physical hardships, he always stood right back by finding his strength in prayer and support from his loved ones.
He will genuinely be missed by all of his family, friends, and community.
