Nicolina Bucciero, age 95, formerly of 22 Zegmont Street, West Haven passed away Saturday April 23, 2011 at the Village at Mariner’s Point in East Haven. She was the wife of the late Pasquale Bucciero. Mrs. Bucciero, daughter of the late Gaetano and AnnaMarie Pastore Mauro was born in Salerno, Italy November 2, 1915 and came to this country in 1955 settling first in New Haven. She later moved to West Haven and became a resident there in 1962. She received her teaching degree in Italy and was employed by the City of West Haven Board of Education as a substitute teacher. She is survived by two sons Anthony (Melitta) Bucciero of Ashburn, VA and Elio (Diane) Bucciero of North Branford, three grandchildren Michele (Russ) Pennington, David (Diane) Bucciero, Nicole Bucciero and five great grandchildren Caroline, Madeleine, William, Noah and Isabella. She was predeceased by her sisters Filomena Bosco, Rosa Perillo and Maria Sparice.
