Nicolette “Nikki” Allen, 18, of Three Oaks, Michigan died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Nikki was born July 8, 1990 in Berrien Center, Michigan to Bradley and Lori (Osburn) Allen. She graduated from River Valley High School in 2008.
Nikki was a tough competitor, never backing down from a challenge. She played Softball for the lady Mustangs, and enjoyed running on the Cross Country and Track Teams. Not only did she enjoy running, she qualified for state for Cross Country, and was on the qualifying 3200 Track Relay Team. She was currently attending Southwestern Michigan College, studying to become an archeologist. She was employed at Redamak’s in New Buffalo and at the Green Door Dairy in Three Oaks.
Nikki loved shopping with her mom, having her father read to her, hanging out with family and friends, drawing, watching old movies, listening to music, and holding little babies. She loved God, attended Real Life Community Church, and read the Bible every night before bed. Survivors include her parents, Lori Allen and Brad Allen; her siblings, Tyler, Jessica, and Alexander; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Osburn, all of Three Oaks; paternal grandmother, Edith Allen of Keithsburg, Illinois; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Larry Osburn and Donald Allen; her uncle, Mike Osburn and her cousin, Josh Fox.
