Mrs. Nicky Sapp Glover, age 90, of West Point, GA passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her residence.
Nicky Sapp Glover was born on Feb. 28, 1926, to Arthur and Lillian Sandell in Oakland, California.
In 1946 she married Dr. George W. Sapp of Dalton, Georgia, and came south with him and “never looked back” as she said many times. They moved to West Point where he entered dental practice and Nicky embraced her new life in the south. They were married for 49 years until his death in 1995, and raised three children, Becky, Ginny and Marshall. In 2004 she found happiness again marrying Mr. Cliff Glover. They were married 12 years.
She was secretary for Textile Waste Association, then was travel coordinator for West Point Pepperell Transportation Dept. completing her career working at Batson-Cook company for more than 20 years.
Among her other activities she was President of the National Secretaries Association International, Valley Chapter and Riverside Country Club Ladies Golf Association President. She held numerous positions at West Point First United Methodist Church including delivering Meals on Wheels and was a member of the Kaluska Garden Club.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Audrey Anderson, June Goodrich and Jean Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff Glover, her children, Becky Kilpatrick and her husband Jim, Ginny Bailey and G. Marshall Sapp and his wife Ellen; step children, Edmund Glover and his wife Sandra, Nancy Kennedy and her husband Bill, Jenny Lee and her husband Dick, and Laura Thatcher and her husband Brad, 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, and her brothers-in-law Tom Goodrich and Herb Johnson.
