HAVERHILL – Nicki (Frangoulis) Kafides, 67, of Haverhill, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, from injuries sustained from an automobile accident.
Nicki was born in Kalloni, Island of Lesvos, Greece on September 30, 1949. Loving daughter of the late Pantelis and Maria (Kalogerou) Frangoulis. She came to the United States with her family when she was six years old and was raised in the Hyde Park section of Boston. After graduating from high school, she returned to Greece for several years and married George Kafides, then settling in Haverhill. They enjoyed 47 years of marriage. She continued her education, graduating from college while working as a software engineer until her recent retirement.
She was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed life, her Greek Orthodox faith, her family and friends. She and her husband George were caregivers for her mother, Maria, for many years until her passing several months ago.
In addition to her husband George, Nicki leaves cherished friends Koula and Panos Vasilopoulos, Kiki and George Georgiadis of Haverhill, and many other caring friends; two nephews in Greece; and a sister in-law.
