Nick G. Chingman, 52, of Alexander, IL died Friday, June 3, 2011 in Alexander.
He was born April 13, 1959 in Muskegon, MI; the son of Raymond George and Ruth Elaine Garvey Chingman. He married Linda Strope on March 6, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV and she survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Michael Chingman (wife, Deanna) of Las Vegas, NV and David Chingman (fiancé, Michelle Johnston) of Carlinville; three grandchildren, Klayton, Alma, and Dalton Chingman; two brothers, Raymond and Daniel; three sisters, Louella, Mary and Diann; several nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Donna Strope of Alexander; and his sister-in-law, Becky Strope of Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Chingman graduated from White Hall High School in Muskegon, MI and was previously employed for 15 years at A-C Humko in Jacksonville. He served from 1977 to 1992 with the US Air Force including service with Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
