Nick Ciccotelli, 82, Deming resident for 21 years, died Wednesday morning August 26, 2009 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.
Nick was born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 1, 1927 to Saviero and Jenny Carazona Ciccotelli. He and Melrose Santangelo were married on August 5, 1950 in Pitcairn, PA. He served in the United States Navy right out of high school and retired after working 38 years from General Motors. He was a member of the Local Order of the Moose Lodge 2088 and the United Auto Workers Union.
He is survived by wife of 59 years, Melrose Ciccotelli, Deming; son, Gary Ciccotelli, Deming; son & daughter in-law, Wayne & Patty Ciccotelli, Deming; brothers, Steve Ciccotelli, Deming & Joe Ciccotelli, Orlando, FL; sister, Rose Yankes, Trafford, PA; and his one and only granddaughter, Jaclyn Ciccotelli, Deming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julia Scalzetti.
