Nicholis “Nick” Bufmack of Canon City, Colorado passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at the age of 80. After several weeks of declining health, Nicholis passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Lenore, and his children, sister, and grandchildren by his side.

Nick was born in Florence, Colorado on February 14, 1941, to his father, Steve Bufmack, and mother, Isabella DeBiaso. The family already had 2 boys at home, Richard and Donald Lee, with Connie arriving shortly after Nick.  The family home was in Florence and Nick stayed there until joining the Navy.  He served 4 years, was honorably discharged, and returned to Florence.  He married his first wife, Cheryl, and they had 3 children.  He worked several jobs, but his favorite and last job was with the Canon City school district at Skyline Elementary, where the kids loved him, and he loved them.

Nick married Lenore Erps on November 2, 1984, and they have been by each other’s side ever since.  You could find them having family dinners with the kids and grandkids or eating at their favorite restaurants.

Nick is preceded in death by his parents; Steve and Isabella, brothers; Richard, Donald Lee, and brother-in-law; James Adamson.  He is survived by his sister; Connie Jean Adamson, wife; Lenore (Erps) Bufmack, children; Nicholis Jr. (Denise), Lori (John) Cobler, Christopher (Tabitha) Bufmack, and Scott (Fiancé Sue) Winborne, grandchildren; Christopher, Timothy, Holly, Taylor, Devon, Michael, Mathew, Gary Lee, Jeffrey, Eric, Michael, Elijah, Samantha, Kiana, and Alex, great-grandchildren; Dannielle, Lilly, Ryker, Lillian, Wesley, and numerous relatives.  His family was the most important thing to Nick, and he enjoyed and loved them all.

A Remembrance Dinner is planned for Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Florence Elks Club.
