He attended Harlingen Public Schools and Harlingen High School. Nicholas was a local barber employed at the Downtown Jackson St. Barbershop & Salon. He enjoyed meeting new people in his profession and will be remembered for having a big heart of gold, always giving of himself and helping others in need. He always lived life to the fullest. Fashion was his passion.
He is preceded in death by his father Lauro Serna.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his common-law-wife, Sara Moniz; his daughter, Cordelia Serna; paternal grandmother, Maria Serna; brother, Manuel Serna; uncles, Ventura Serna and Jose Manuel Serna; cousins, Marco, Julian, Lauro, Mia, Christian, and Marianna Serna.
