HAVERHILL – Nicholas “Niko” Gavrielides, 87, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Siberia, Russia on July 16, 1926, son of the late George and Kalliopi Gavrielides. At the age of 12, he immigrated to Greece, where he later married his late wife of 55 years, Evmorfia “Foula” (Meltsakos) Gavrielides.
Mr. Gavrielides was employed by the former Borden Chemical of No. Andover for 26 years until his retirement.
