After a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Dementia, Nicholas Yarris Jr., age 90, peacefully took his last breath at home on December 18, 2021, surrounded by his beloved wife, children and grandchildren, who he adored more than anything else in the world. Nick managed his illness with strength and grace and wanted to spend as much time with his loved ones as possible. Nick loved telling his stories of life on the pig farm. He enjoyed dancing. With his beautiful wife Barbara. He was a roofer for 30 years. And everyone who knew Nick understood his love for the outdoors and wildlife. It was a fitting and wondrous surprise to find eight deer watching the house shortly before his last breath at 8:00 p.m.Nicholas Yarris of Aston, formerly of Southwest Philadelphia and the Meadows, was born on July 27, 1931.
