Mrs. Newana (Gotcher) Trovero, 91, of Peru, passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at OSF Healthcare in Peoria. She was born on November 30, 1922, in Oplin, TX to Lee and Mary (Roberson) Gotcher.
She married Leonard Trovero on October 17, 1942, in Ballinger, TX. She was a past member of the Zonta Club. Newana worked alongside her husband in all of his endeavors throughout their lives together. Mrs. Trovero is survived by her husband, Len of Peru; her three children, Leonard J. “Jerry” (Bonnie) Trovero of Little Rock, AR, Chuck (Mary) Trovero of Peru, and Sheree (Bill) Egan of Granville; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, James (Tomasine) Gotcher of Midland, TX, and Nolan (Lottie) Gotcher of St. Augustine, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Leonard J.Trovero, III; and one brother, J.C. Gotcher. Pallbearers will be her five grandsons, Joe, Tony, Charlie, Chris, and Marc Trovero; and one great-grandson, Jack Egan.
