Neva Miller, age 89 of New Buffalo, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 13, 2015, in St Joseph, Michigan. Neva was born September 22, 1926 in New Buffalo, Michigan the daughter of George and Ruby (Perdue) Krueger.
Neva will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Jay (Linda) Miller, Sue (George) Szczypka; her grandchildren: Adam Szczypka, Kate Szczypka, Pamela Miller; her sister Georgia “Toots” (Ron) Stella; her brother Duane “Butch” (Judy) Krueger; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Neva is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Harry and Dick Krueger, her sister June (Krueger) Swem. Neva loved to travel, especially anywhere she could go to see family.
She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed playing cards. Neva was a devoted long time member of St John United Church of Christ in New Buffalo, Michigan. Neva will be remembered for being a proud grandmother and mother. Neva worked for Austenal-Howmet Corporation in LaPorte, Indiana for 24 years.
