Neva “June” Schlueter, 72 of Rock City died Friday January 6, 2012 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born June 15, 1939 in Freeport she was the daughter of William and Dora Ann (Messman) Nielander.
She was a 1958 graduate of Dakota High School. On March 14, 1959 she and Milton Schlueter were united in marriage in Rock Grove. June was a member of St. Paul Church of Epleyanna. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding, and watching Milt play softball. She enjoyed Polka dancing with her husband.
She cared for her many elderly neighbors and family. She enjoyed attending her Grandchildren’s many events. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, and Grandmother who loved the Lord. June and Milton have farmed since their marriage.
Surviving are her husband Milton of Rock City, one son Donald Schlueter of Rock City; three daughters Sarah Holweg of Rock City; Mary (Matthew) Rhoades of Rockford, Nancy (Gus) Schutte of Footville, WI; 7 grandchildren Brian Holweg, Andrea Holweg, Angela (Cory) McLaurin, Cherie Holweg, Nicholas Rhoades, Amanda Rhoades, Cora Schutte, two great grandchildren Caydence McLaurin, Zechariah McLaurin; one sister Jean Waller of Freeport, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister Joyce Last.
