Gerald W. “Jerry” Netemeyer, 64, of San Diego, CA, formerly of Albers, died Monday, September 7, 2009 at the VA San Diego Medical Center in San Diego, CA. He was born August 21, 1945 in Breese, son of Henry G. and Edna Elizabeth (Spihlmann) Netemeyer.
Mr. Netemeyer is survived by his son, Aaron B. (Sandra) Netemeyer of San Diego, CA.; grandchildren, Kenny Netemeyer and Kevin Netemeyer; two sisters-in-law, Linda Netemeyer and Agnus “Aggie” Netemeyer, both of Albers; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Netemeyer and John Netemeyer. Mr. Netemeyer was a member of St. Bernard Parish in Albers, the Trenton VFW Post 7983 and the American Legion Post 1026 in Albers. He was a retired truck driver for Lanter Company in Madison. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served in Vietnam where he received a Purple Heart.
