Neta “Jess” Roberts, age 87, of Crestview went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 24, 2014. She was born in Falco, AL on June 23, 1927, to William and Lovie Deese. Neta graduated from Laurel Hill High School in 1946. She was salutatorian and an All County Forward for basketball. After graduating she taught school for a short time at Laurel Hill and coached the basketball team. Neta retired from the Okaloosa County School System where she worked as a secretary.
Survivors include her children: Charisse Wilson of Crestview, Donna Roberts of Crestview, Clain Roberts and wife Cindy of Pace, and Lisa Williams and husband Johnny of Crestview. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
