Nelson T. “Tom” Nordquist, age 92 years, of White Horse Beach in Plymouth, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at the Beth-Israel Deaconess Hospital. He was the husband of Ellen (Linnehan) Nordquist, and the son of the late Nelson E. and Lola (Martin) Nordquist. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tom has spent the last twenty years living in the White Horse Beach community, where he and is family summered for many years. He was a graduate of Columbia University in New York, where he earned his Masters degree in Architecture. He worked for many years with the Taylor-Clark Firm in New York City. A member of Christ Church in Plymouth, where he sang in the choir. Tom was an organist and choir member at various churches. He was a musician and an artist. Many family members and friends will enjoy his beautiful watercolor landscapes that he painted over the years. He made stained glass panels, and enjoyed model trains and reading. Tom also was a member of the Old Colony Club and the Plymouth Center for the Arts. He will be forever missed by his loving wife Ellen and children, Mady Layton of St. Croix, USVI, Timothy Martin Nordquist and his wife Jennifer of Brewster, NY and Thomas Craig Nordquist of Northvale, NJ. He was preceded in death by his son John Nelson Nordquist. He was grandfather of Ian Robert and Erin Theresa Layton, Grady Michael, Yannah Elizabeth, Malcom Anthony, Jack Thomas, Jason Michael, and Samantha Riley Nordquist. He also leaves his sister Beverly Robertson and her husband William of Brookfield, CT and his beloved cat Missy.
