Nelson M. Granger, 76, passed away peacefully at home with his family on August 30th after a brief illness. Nelson leaves his loving wife of 56 years, Jeannette A. (Caron) Granger; his son Matthew S. Granger; his daughter Cheryl A. Dumond and her husband Michael Dumond; his son Gregory P. Granger; his grandsons John A. Granger; Lee and Brian Dumond and his granddaughter Kristen E. Granger.
Nelson was the owner of Granger Dataforms Inc. which he proudly operated for the past 30 years. He was active in youth baseball and football, coaching Little League, Alumni League and serving as the Commissioner of Plainville Midget Football during its formative years. He graduated Farmington High School in 1953 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps, before attending the University of Connecticut. With hobbies and interests to humorous to list, his greatest joys were family, friends and fellowship. His generosity, hospitality, kindness and sense of humor are legendary.
