He came to America in December 1961 and worked for Oakland Scavenger/Waste Management for 35 years when he retired in 1995. Nello is survived by his wife of 58 years Norma Balsi; daughters, Julie Costa of Tracy, CA. and Nancy Balsi of Alameda; son, Mark Balsi of Alameda, CA; grandson, Kevin Costa (Annifel Costa) of Alameda, CA; granddaughter, Michelle Costa (Jesse Lagadon) of Tracy,CA; and his four great grandchildren, Isabella Ragan, Mikala -Costa Sanchez, Kalea Costa and Leila Lagadon.
