Mrs. Nellie Messer Strong, 87, of West Point, GA, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Strong was born in Harris County, GA on July 19, 1929 and was a member of the Davidson Baptist Church in West Point.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Winston Strong; children, Linda Strong Duncan (Lynn), Larry Winston Strong (Ginger), Jerry Wayne Strong (Glenda); brother, Johnny Francis Messer; eight grandchildren, Ron (Temple Ann), Angela (Philip), Lisa, Dewayne, Kyle, Amy (Steve), Amber (Eric), Matthew (Robert); 21 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry & Lois Irene Messer; grandson, Scottie Strong; brothers, Ernest, Monroe, Charles, Ivy, & Fred Messer, and sister, Mary Givins.
