Nellie Mameline (Mauller) DuVall, age 87, of Grafton, passed away February 6, 2016 at Wallace B. Murphy Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family.
Nellie was born February 14, 1928 in Upshur County, WV. She was the daughter of the late Joseph Wesley and Sarah Mae (Crawford) Mauller. She married Myrvle Lee “Mutt” DuVall on March 1, 1947, he preceded her in death May 6, 1982.
She was a member the the Salvation Army Church, for many years. She loved to take pictures and was often seen with her camera in her hand, and her family nickname her “Flash.” She worked at the Shirt Factory, Cozy Rest, and the Philippi Indoor Flea Market, the best job she had.
was taking care of her loving family.
She is survived by three sons; Myrvle “Buss” and wife Beverly (Allen) DuVall, Steven “Sam” and wife Karen Sue (Forman) DuVall, Jack and wife Margaret “Peggy” (Kennedy)DuVall all of Grafton, four daughters; Twyla and husband Steve Saltis , Flemington, Cathy “Kitty” and husband Benson Davis , Candy and husband Paul Saltis both of Grafton, Tina Vincent, Volga. Seventeen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren, one brother; Thomas and wife Elaine “Peppy” (Poling) Mauller. one special niece; Gaye Nell Peters, Grafton. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Nellie was preceded in death by two children; Lovie Mae “Jackie” DuVall and Connie Ann DuVall, one sister and her spouse Opal (Mauller) and Stuart Cathell, one brother; and his spouse George and Marjorie (DuVall) Mauller, and a brother Junior Paul Mauller; a grandson and a granddaughter.
