Nellie Lee Kirby Preston, 85, of Flemingsburg, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Frank Preston, Sr.
Born October 8, 1932, in Livingston, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Jerry and Mollie Lamb Kirby.
Nellie is survived by her children, and Charlotte Pierce and husband Philip of Millington, Tennessee, Frank Preston, Jr. and wife Leighanne of Lenoxburg, Carol Canady of Sparks, Nevada, Robert Preston of Hillsboro, Jerry Preston of Ewing, James Preston of Lexington, Barbara Dotson and husband Tommy of Versailles, and David Preston and wife Paula of Okinawa, Japan; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by special friend, Mabel Hamilton.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Alice Preston; her granddaughter, Julie Pierce Preston; her twin brother, Milton “Buster” Kirby; her brother, Floyd Kirby; her sister, Leona Sullender; and several other brothers and sisters.
