Mrs. Nellie Faye Knowles, age 90, of Valley passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the EAMC Lanier Hospital in Valley.
Mrs. Knowles was born on June 22, 1926 in Chambers County, Alabama to the late Frank Chambley and Claudie Hightower Chambley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Knowles; daughter, Virginia Ann Knowles; grandson, Scott Knowles.
Mrs. Knowles was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She retired from the West Point Stevens Fairfax Mill with 47 years of service.
She is survived by her two sons, Ronnie (Gaylene) Knowles, Phenix City, Roger Knowles, Valley; sister, Ruth Yates, Valley; brother, Wilson Chambley, Valley; grandchildren, Ron Knowles, Jr., Randy (Kelly) Knowles, Nikki (Chris) Van Dyke, Suzane (Rick) Furgerson, Terry (Melinda) Knowles; several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Heather McWhorter, Cheryl Farr, and Melissa Pitchford for the care and support given to Mrs. Knowles.
