Nellie M. Brown, 100, of Metamora, formerly of Washington passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Unity Point Health-Methodist in Peoria IL.
Nellie was born December 23, 1916 in Cobden, IL, daughter of William and Carrie Cavaness Harbaugh. She married Doyle Brown on July 2, 1955 in Peoria. He passed away on March 28, 1995 in Danville, IL. Two daughters Beverly Frakes husband Walter and Judy McDonald; one granddaughter Lisa Thieme, one brother Bill Harbaugh and one sister Helen Hickam all preceded her in death.
She owned and operated the “Orchid” beauty salon in Peoria for many years.
