NELLIE HARTMAN BRITTON, age 90, of Alexandria, VA formerly of Greeneville, TN., died peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 14, 2002. Mrs. Britton was born May 30, 1911 in Greene Co., TN, the daughter of the late James and Mary Hartman. She was a long time member of the New Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Greeneville, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Britton who died in 1988. Survivors include seven children, J.V. Britton, of Maryville, TN., Patsy Mitchell, of Nokesville, VA., Jackie Farley and Carolyn Ekstrom, both of Alexandria, VA., Richard Dale Britton, of Meridian, Idaho and Jewell Lynn Britton and Lloyd Darrell Britton, both of Greeneville, TN., and one brother, Glenn Hartman, of Greeneville, TN. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
