Nell Stewart Estopinal, 90 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015. She was born in Laneburg, Arkansas, June 26,1925 to the late Ralph Kelso Stewart and Josie Tubb Stewart.
Nell moved to New Orleans to work for the war effort including working on Naval Ships as a riveter, and was a lifelong employee of Southern Bell Telephone Company holding many positions as an operator to a lineman. She was active in St.
She is predeceased in death by her husband, Lionel J. Estopinal; her son Stewart J. Estopinal; two brothers, Robert Stewart and wife Shirley, and Ralph Stewart and wife Mary Ann; and her sister, Robbie Stewart Abrams and husband Charles W. “Mickey” Abrams.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Stewart Austin Estopinal and Sophia Alexandra Estopinal and many loving relatives and friends. Friends include the Logsdon family; Raye, Fred and sons Ryan, William and Michael, who have lovingly cared for Nell since her move from Metairie to Baton Rouge in 2005, and Cora Reece Wilkinson.
