Nell Nash Sowers, 88, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011.
Born in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Nell Culp and Henry Clyde Nash.
Mrs. Sowers attended Stanly County Schools and Catawba College. She owned and operated Salisbury Business College for many years.
A member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, she was also very active in the Democratic Party, even going to the National Convention where Jimmy Carter was nominated.
Preceding her in death were her husband Leo Sowers; and sister Mildred Nash Isenhower.
Mrs. Sowers is survived by four grandchildren and a nephew, Nash Isenhower (Valinda) of Salisbury.
