Neil Merrill Kimmerling, 79, of Anderson, passed away on September 6, 2012 at Saint John’s Health System.

He was born on July 29, 1933 in Perkinsville, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He is a retired Union Representative for Delco Remy Division of General Motors. He was a member of UAW 662, 40 & 8, Amvets, American Legion Post 408, Chesterfield and Central Indiana Karting Association. He enjoyed watching motor racing sports, football, IU basketball, and had been a Little League baseball coach.

Neil is survived by his baby daughter, Julie Marling, oldest daughter, Debra Jo Kimmerling White, middle daughter, Kelly Scott of Anderson, grandchildren: Jason Kimmerling, Kiely White, Aaron Scott, Sarah Scott, Courtney Marling, Britney Marling, and Cody Marling. 14 Great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, special friends, Bill Hastings and Larry James and canine friend, Reese also survives.

He was preceded in death by father, Jesse Kimmerling, mother, Martha Ellen Kimmerling and ten siblings: Pete, Garland, Bernard and Jack Kimmerling, Esther Reeder, Mary Walker, Betty Clevenger, Nellie Etchison, Ann Pascal and Barbara Roberts.
