Neil Frederick Jedele, born September 1, 1930, was the younger of two children born to Amanda Huber and Leon Jedele in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He attended Pioneer High School and worked his way through University of Michigan College as a milkman and graduated 1951 with a degree in Civil Engineering. 1952 he served a 6 month program in the Air Force with an Honorable Discharge. 1953 he went to work for the A&P Tea Co. in Detroit, MI and was transferred to Flint in 1954 where he met and married Beverly Fischer in 1955. That same year he changed jobs and began working for General Motors Corp. He and wife, Beverly, had four children: Kimberly (Kim), Karen, Scott & Michelle (Micki). Neil remarried Olivia (Cote’) May in 1987. He retired from GM and began consultant work in 1984, ending his career with 10 years at Fabricating Engineers as manufacturing manager. He and wife, Olivia, retired to Florida in 2004 where he enjoyed playing his favorite participating sport of golf with good friends & neighbors and always remained true and loyal to his love of family and his Michigan Wolverines.
Neil is predeceased by his sister, Virginia (Ginny) Heinrich, mother Amanda Huber, father, Leon Jedele and granddaughter, Elise Holdeman. He is survived by his wife, Olivia; 4 children, Kim & husband, Helio Mendes, Karen & husband, Randy Holdeman, Scott & wife Jill, Micki & husband, Gary Gross; step-son, Brad & wife Kathy May; 12 grandchildren, Landon, Leilani, Kristin, Laura, Ranae, Saige, Sayre, Stenn, Jonah, Jake, Josh, Hayley; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, Bonnie & Martha, and a nephew, Paul, along with several cousins.
