Neil Edison Lander, age 90, passed away on December 22, 2015, in Kalamazoo.

He was born December 17, 1925, in Patten, Maine to the late Charles and Lona (Stevens) Lander.

Neil had served in the U.S. Army Military Police and later was employed by The Upjohn Company for over 35 years prior to his retirement. He was a longtime member of the Centre Avenue Community Church of God. Neil was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also loved playing cribbage and other card games. On September 7, 1945, he was united in marriage to Alice W. VanDyke who preceded him in death on March 4, 2008.

He was also preceded in death by a son Terry Lander and siblings Helen Koets and Charles Lander.

Surviving are his son, Neil H. (Karen) Lander of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Deby Vaughn and Daniel Lander; great-granddaughter, Cassidy Vaughn; a sister-in-law, Alice Lander; nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Kathy Armintrout.
