Neida Faye Niles, 66, of Jacksonville and formerly of Waterloo, died early Friday, August 31, 2007, at St. Johns Hospice in Springfield.

She was born June 23, 1941, in Hawk Point, Iowa, the daughter of Burton and Eula Stewart Mumford. She married Fred J. Niles on May 1, 1960, in Springfield and he preceded her in death on March 13, 1980.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Barry (wife, Dana) Rolland of Waterloo, Teresa Niles of Waterloo and James (wife, Darlene) Niles of Loami; ten grandchildren, Jamie Rolland of Springfield, Bradley Rolland, Abbie Rolland, Christopher Rolland, Joshua Rolland, Joseph (fiance, Heather Siedel) Niles, Aaron Niles, Sage Niles and Alyssa Niles, all of Waterloo, and Amanda Niles of Loami; five great-grandchildren; and one brother and one sister, Lindell (wife, Charlotte) Mumford of Amity, Ore., and Betty Winter of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Niles had been a member of Westfair Baptist Church in Jacksonville and was currently a member of First Baptist Church of Waterloo. She had worked at Wagners Restaurant and Capitol Records in Jacksonville, and more recently had been a Customer Service Manager at Wal-Mart in Waterloo and Jacksonville. She enjoyed ceramics, owning Fayes Ceramics in Franklin for several years, and loved Bingo. Her greatest joy was to care for and encourage her children and grandchildren.
